Phishing check: safe or dangerous?
Got an email that feels off? Don't worry – just don't click any links. Simply forward the suspicious email to me as an attachment for a check.
I check the invisible technical data (headers), sender addresses, links and typical phishing tricks. Shortly after, you'll receive an automatic assessment: "Dangerous – don't open" or "Harmless".
How to send me the email
Forward as an attachment
- Outlook: select the email, press
Ctrl+Alt+F. - Apple Mail: "Message" → "Forward as Attachment".
- Gmail: three dots → "Forward as attachment".
Analysis
The system checks the technical headers, links and typical scam patterns. This usually only takes a few minutes.
Clear assessment
You'll get an easy-to-understand reply email: "Dangerous – don't open" or "Harmless". No technical jargon.
Limits to prevent abuse
This is a purely private, free project. To prevent abuse and keep the hosting costs of my hobby project low, the following limits apply:

Emails contain sensitive data. That's why clear rules apply:
- Purpose-bound: Submitted emails are used exclusively for phishing analysis. Extracted details (e.g. URLs, sender IP) may be automatically reported to external security services – details in the privacy policy.
- Analyzed securely: The check runs fully automated. I never open suspicious links.
- Automatic deletion: The original email is deleted after 7 days at the latest. Technical metadata (sender address for rate limiting) is removed after 30 days.

Is this really free?
Yes, it's completely free to use. This is a private project with no commercial intent – no hidden fees.
Is the result 100% reliable? Are you liable?
No. No spam filter in the world catches every attack. This tool is a private hobby project that gives you an automated second opinion. I accept no liability or warranty for any damages. When in doubt: never click links!
How fast will I get a reply?
Usually within a few minutes, as soon as the email has been processed.
What happens to my forwarded emails?
The emails are processed exclusively for technical analysis. Contained links and sender information are submitted to external verification services (e.g. VirusTotal, Google Safe Browsing, AbuseIPDB). The original email is deleted after 7 days at the latest. Technical metadata (sender address for rate limiting) is removed after 30 days. Details in the privacy policy.
What if my mail program can't send attachments?
No problem — I also support an email exported as HTML (e.g. from webmail) or a normally forwarded inline message. The analysis is then a bit more limited (e.g. without a spam-filter scan), but it still works. See the guide for other programs for details.
