Forward an email as an attachment
in Classic Outlook

Why "as an attachment"? This is the only way the invisible technical headers of the original email are preserved. I need exactly those to reliably verify the sender and authenticity. Regular forwarding loses this data.

Step by step

  1. 1 Select the suspicious email in the message list with one click (don't open it).
  2. 2 Press Ctrl + Alt + F – alternatively: "Home" tab → "More" / "⋯" → "Forward as Attachment".
  3. 3 A new email opens with the original message attached.
  4. 4 Enter spam-check-en@moin-moin.it as the recipient and send the email.
💡 Tip: The Ctrl + Alt + F shortcut is the fastest way and works in all classic Outlook versions.

Doesn't work? You can also forward the suspicious email normally – the analysis will then be less conclusive, since I'm missing the technical headers. I therefore always recommend forwarding as an attachment whenever possible.
